Distico Elegiaco - Fractalis is the new site-specific project by artist Tiziana Lorenzelli, conceived for BAG - Bocconi Art Gallery, the space dedicated to contemporary art within Bocconi University in Milan. The installation was presented at the opening of the group exhibition held on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at the Roentgen 1 building.
For this occasion, the artist presents an installation consisting of two large sculptures from the Fractalis series, entitled "Fractalis in Gold" and "Fractalis in Blue," made of Aluflexia® Gold and Blue, a composite material designed by Lorenzelli herself. The works, shaped and stitched by hand, are attached to the wall using a magnet system, in a delicate balance between matter, light and space.
The collaboration with Bocconi University developed following the exhibition "Entropia Cosmica," curated by Vera Canevazzi and Margherita Strada, held in 2023 at Palazzo Bocconi, Milan, and including a large blue Aluflexia® installation on the facade of the same building on Corso Venezia in Milan. The inclusion in the exhibition was made possible thanks to the artist and Margherita Strada's work for the Vera Canevazzi Art Consulting studio, in collaboration with Cortesi Gallery.
