The Vera Canevazzi Art Consulting firm conducted the appraisal of a private collection consisting of 23 paintings and 5 pieces of furniture.
The collection includes paintings by contemporary Italian artists and furnishings, dating between the 19th and 20th centuries of Italian or European production. All works and furnishings have been viewed from life in order to ensure an accurate and timely assessment.
The estimate was conducted by adopting a methodology that integrates the analysis of the authors' artistic profile-considering biography, exhibition history, primary and secondary markets-with a technical evaluation of individual works (subject, technique, dating, size, uniqueness, provenance, conservation status).
For furniture, however, the period of production, geographical area, quality of execution, materials, condition of preservation, and antiques market trends were examined.
The valuation was formulated taking into account the current market scenario and considering both cultural value and actual commercial value, supplementing the technical analysis with direct comparison with the target market.
