Eight Windows, a nonprofit space created in late 2022 from the transformation of a historic pharmacy into a private home dedicated to the temporary display of exhibitions and cultural events, will host the third exhibition since its debut, presenting the work of the Turin-based artist Riccardo TEN Colombo: "Overlooking". Edited by Vera Canevazzi, the exhibition proposes a deconstruction and reconstruction of the image through a reinterpretation of visual processes.
The exhibition includes. nine works of TEN Colombo from different phases of his artistic production, including "Animals" acrylics and the "Cromoblock" in metal. Otto Finestre's distinctive spaces, designed to be usable primarily from the outside, create a unique confrontation between the works and the surrounding space. The transparent windows encourage the visual projection of the interior to the exterior and vice versa, transforming the space into a'permeable experience. The window, acting as a physical boundary, becomes the interpretive key to TEN Colombo's works. Like a kaleidoscope, the windows act as optical instruments that allow the audience to visually compose images. In this liminal space, the audience becomes an integral part of the work itself, suspended Between the desire to see and the impossibility of touching. This interaction creates a shifting and boundless dialogue between shapes, colors and images, helping to shape a unique and immersive experience.
