From May 31 to June 15, 2024, Novalis Art Design Gallery in Hong Kong is hosting "The Room I'm In," a solo exhibition by Michele De Lucchi supported by the Consulate General of Italy in Hong Kong and the Italian Cultural Institute of Hong Kong, with a critical text by Vera Canevazzi.
In this exhibition, Michele De Lucchi explores the complex interaction between human beings and their surroundings through some 30 works all of recent production, including the "House with Dormers," the "Pavilion with Legs," bronze sculptures and pictorial works. Characterized by alienating and original details, the works on display reveal the inherent multiplicity of our perception, as a room is not just a physical structure, but a web of objects, narratives, relationships and meanings that constantly change over time. De Lucchi focuses on the contemplation of everyday things, constructing small monuments of the everyday.
